Optomap® Retinal Exam

State-of-the-art retinal imaging

Total Eyecare Center features the Optos® Optomap Digital Retinal Exam. Your eyes are similar to your fingers. Just how your fingerprints are yours alone, the interior of you eyes are also unique to only you.

Dr. Holle or one of Total Eyecare Center's professional staff can take a picture of the interior of your eyes with the Optomap Digital Retinal Exam "mapping" the retina, blood vessels and inclusions in your eyes.

Dr. Holle can diagnose many problems that may exist that are not visible without the Optos® otomap retinal exam. Dr. Holle catalogues the images from the optomap retinal exam to compare with future exams.

GDx Scanning Laser Polarimeter®

Total Eyecare Center is proud to offer the GDx Scanning Laser Polarimeter, a cutting edge technology specifically designed to detect glaucoma.

Dr. Holle purchased the GDx system because over one million Americans have glaucoma and are unaware of that fact.

Total Eyecare Center and Dr. Holle are dedicated to providing the best tools and services to ensure your eyes are healthy and the GDx Scanning laser Polarimeter is just one of the tools available to you.

Icare®

Icare® is one of the additional tools in Total Eyecare Center and Dr. Holle's arsenal of instruments available to help you. The Icare® tonometry checks for glaucoma with no topical anesthesia, no drops and no dye. This means no invasive uncomfortable puffs of air, and no gooey stuff in your eyes.

The device itself is conveniently hand held and easy to use. The Icare® tonometry projects a tiny, probe onto the corneal surface. The Icare® onboard sensors measure the IOP (inter ocular pressure) and in the majority of patients is barely or not at all perceptible.

The Icare® tonometer's single-use, disposable probes ensure microbiological safety. This technique is very fast and can be used while you wear your soft contact lenses.
